This handmade stained-glass blue tit was inspired by the colourful little birds that visit gardens across the UK. The blue and yellow glass catches the light beautifully and makes a lovely addition to a bright window.
I make each bird by hand in my home studio in Seaford, East Sussex, using the traditional Tiffany copper foil method. Each piece of glass is cut and shaped before being wrapped in copper foil and soldered together.
Approximately 150 mm high and 120 mm wide
Made from stained glass, copper foil and solder
Finished with a ribbon, ready to hang

Because each bird is handmade, the colours and patterns within the glass may vary slightly from the photographs. These small differences are part of the character of handmade stained glass and mean that no two birds will be exactly the same.
The appearance of the glass will also change depending on the light and the background behind it.
